大祓式は、6月30日の夏越の大祓と12月31日の年越の大祓の年２回執り行われます。人が知らず知らずのうちに犯した罪や穢れを祓い清め、明日からの生活をより良く過ごすための神事です。
The Oharae Ceremony, the Great Purification Ceremony is an ancient Shinto ritual held twice a year, June 30 and December 31. The first half of the year, ending in June, we purify our impure and begin a new life of another 6 months with a fresh mind and open heart.
