太宰府天満宮の天神の杜では、約100本の樟がいっせいに若葉をつけ、境内全体が新緑の清々しい香りに包まれます。
国指定天然記念物2本をはじめ、県指定天然記念物も49本に及びます。
誠心館前の樹齢1500年以上といわれる大樟、本殿裏の２本の大樟が寄り添う夫婦樟は必見です。
From mid-April to late-May, fresh young leaves come to life from the ancient camphor trees as a sign of renewing growth on the grounds of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.The one towering to the left of the main shrine is estimated at least 1,500 years old.
